Hi! I'm co-founder of Snowdrift.coop and an overall free software activist. I otherwise run a private music teaching studio (and use exclusively GNU/Linux and free software within my music teaching and so on), more on that at wolftune.com

William Salt Hale, is a Seattle local who studies Technology and Society at the University of Washington (UW) Department of Communication. He attends, organizes, and speaks worldwide at: conferences, conventions, events, festivals, and faires; on various topics including: communication, crowdmatching, internet technologies, linux, music, sci-fi/fantasy, security, and windsports. Salt is very approachable and will always be found wearing a kilt.

Come chat with community and team members from Snowdrift.coop, a community funding platform. It's based on the idea of "crowdmatching" — a pledge to donate a tiny bit to a project for each patron who will give together. We'll have open discussion (not strictly about Snowdrift.coop) around funding, sustainability, community-building, and cooperation around solving the freerider problem that FLO projects face.
